Email and Contact Form Privacy Notice

The personal information you provide through email or this contact form titled “Connect”, including your name, email address, phone number, and any information included in your message, will be used solely to:

  • Respond to your inquiry;
  • Provide information about our services;
  • Schedule an initial consultation or appointment, where appropriate; and
  • Maintain administrative records related to your inquiry.

Please do not include detailed personal health information, urgent mental health concerns, or crisis-related information in this form. Website forms and email communications may not be completely secure methods of communication.

Your information will be accessed only by authorized personnel of South Shore Psychology and trusted service providers who assist with website hosting, email communications, and practice administration. We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information and handle it in accordance with applicable professional standards, Canadian privacy laws, including the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA), Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation. 

We retain contact form submissions only for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry, meet legal and professional obligations, and maintain appropriate business records. The College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysis requests client records be kept on file for a minimum of ten years or if the client is under 18 years of age, ten years following their eighteenth birthday.

If personal health information is destroyed following the mandatory retention period, personal health information in paper form will be shredded and electronic information will be deleted.
