About
“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change” – Carl Rogers

Kirsten Lalonde, MPsy, C.Psych, RP
Kirsten takes a holistic approach to psychotherapy; she addresses individual needs, examines elements that influence well-being, and encourages the exploration of oneself. She understands that a strong therapeutic alliance is essential for positive treatment outcomes and places emphasis on creating a space that is safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental. Her work is grounded in the beliefs that healing is a process not a destination, that treatment should be personalized to each individual, and that therapy can help people move toward a life that feels more meaningful to them.
Kirsten is registered as a clinical psychologist with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario and is also a member of the College of Psychotherapists of Ontario. Kirsten obtained her Master of Psychology degree from Adler Graduate Professional School in Toronto in 2020 with an additional Certificate in Trauma Psychotherapy. She completed her five years of supervised practice for autonomous practice with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysis of Ontario in 2025. Kirsten’s clinical training and supervised practice included time at a residential treatment centre for adolescents and young adults, assisting in neuropsychological assessment for individuals with neurocognitive and mental health disorders, and in private practice with a focus on assessment and treatment of trauma and stressor-related disorders, particularly with first responders and veterans.
Kirsten has recently relocated to Collingwood and is hoping to contribute to the community by expanding access to psychological services in the area. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, nature, art, reading, travel, and her two cats.
